Volunteer Center Programs

The Volunteer Center of Brown County is a non-profit organization whose vision is “Building a Stronger Community through Volunteerism.” Serving over 200 community organizations and local schools in the Green Bay area, the Volunteer Center mobilizes volunteers to deliver creative solutions to address serious community needs.

The strength of a community is directly related to its volunteers. One of the most successful ways of mobilizing volunteers is through local Volunteer Centers.

Each Volunteer Center is unique in that it serves the special needs of its own community. Currently, there are 501 Volunteer Centers, and 300 additional Centers are in the startup phases.

The Volunteer Center of Brown County, is a not-for-profit agency governed by a twelve member Board of Directors. The vision of the Center is to mobilize people and resources to deliver creative solutions to serious community needs.

To achieve this vision, the Center:

  • Connects people of all ages with opportinities to serve
  • Builds the capacity for effective volunteering
  • Promotes volunteerism
  • Participates in strategic initiatives that mobilize volunteers to meet local community need
