2024 Rake Up Green Bay August 21, 2024August 21, 2024 Ruth Paquin This fall event mobilizes volunteers to provide the important service of raking the yards of community members who need our help the most. Our goal is to target those in our neighborhoods who are unable to do this seasonal task due to a lack of family or friends in the area, a disability, limited resources, and/or financial constraints. Volunteers will perform their service individually or in teams. Once volunteers are matched with homeowners, the volunteers will contact them to arrange a mutually agreeable day and time between October 19 and November 10 to complete the service. Join This Volunteer Effort! Here’s what you need to know: Volunteering will occur on the date you and the homeowner(s) agree upon. Each team or individual will need to fill out and submit the volunteer application (see below). Forms are due by 7:00 pm on September 23. You can form a team or you can volunteer individually (individuals may be placed with other individual volunteers to form teams, depending on the needs of homeowners). We will match volunteers with homeowners in early October and, once matched, we will notify you with details and next steps. You are responsible for contacting your assigned homeowner(s) to arrange a date and time for raking to take place. The Volunteer Center can provide a limited number of rakes, if needed. To sign up either yourself or a team of volunteers, click the button below. Rake Up Green Bay Volunteer Application Do You Need Help Getting Your Yard Raked? If you would like to request service, please click the button below and fill out the form completely. Forms are due by 7:00 pm on September 30. Completion of this form is required, whether you are new to the program or have had help in the past. Once the form is submitted, the Volunteer Center will work to find volunteers to help you. If you are matched, those volunteers will then contact you sometime in October to arrange the day and time they will rake your lawn.
