Eileen Metzler Q&A with Eileen Metzler Where did you grow up? I grew up in Manawa, WI, home of the Midwestern Rodeo. Where did you go to school? I completed my bachelor’s degree in mass communication with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in history at UW-Eau Claire. What do you like to do in your spare time? I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going camping, biking, and volunteering in the community. Why do you work in the nonprofit field? I love working in the nonprofit field because every day provides an opportunity to make a positive impact and help others. I grew up in a household where giving back was a core value, and it’s something I continue to practice with my own family. Since college, I’ve known I wanted to pursue work that is meaningful and aligns with an organization’s mission. What’s something about you that not many people know? I had childhood epilepsy, which impacted my learning abilities during my early years. If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? My family really wants to go to Hawaii someday due to the unique wildlife, scenery and volcanoes.
