Volunteer Center of Brown County’s Annual Golf Classic

Through the Oneida Nation, our main sponsor for the annual Golf Classic, the Volunteer Center of Brown County is able to continue our mission of “creating a stronger community by engaging volunteers to support nonprofit partners.” Though normally held in July, this year it took place on September 2, 2020, at Thornberry Creek at Oneida.

Attended by nearly 100 golfers, this event is not only fun, but it is one of the ways that the Volunteer Center is able to help thousands of people in the Brown County area throughout the year. The Volunteer Center of Brown County is so thankful to those who help improve the community and for the great relationship we have with the Oneida Nation.

Annual Community-Wide Volunteer Expo
Typically held over the course of an afternoon, in 2020, it was an all-virtual event that took place throughout the week of September 13-19. ‘Attendees’ discovered ways to help serve their community, and area nonprofits got the word out about their volunteer needs. In 2019, over 300 individuals were able to meet with more than 70 nonprofit organizations who were just waiting to talk with them about how they can strengthen our community by volunteering! Make A Difference Day
A national day of service with a local impact!

Building a strong community through volunteerism is no easy feat, but through the help and assistance of the people in Brown County, we are accomplishing the goal!
Each year, hundreds of people join together and help senior citizens and people with disabilities in the area with seasonal tasks to prepare for the upcoming winter months. Teams of people come together to rake leaves, wash windows, clean gardens and put away yard furniture.
You and the Volunteer Center — making a difference in our area!
In 2020, Make A Difference Day was on Saturday, October 24. For more information, click here.
