Judy Felton Q&A with Judy Felton Where did you grow up? I grew up on a dairy farm in a remote area of southwestern Wisconsin. Where did you go to school? I attended a one-room school for two years, and then the school closed, and we were transferred to Wonewoc. I graduated from Wonewoc-Center, and I attended a two-year college in Richland Center, WI. What do you like to do in your spare time? I enjoy designing florals, home decorating, reading, working in my yard and flower garden, planning parties, and anything creative! Why do you work in the nonprofit field? Helping people is so rewarding, and seeing people's lives improved while helping the organization grow is what I strive to do. What’s something about you that not many people know? When I was 16, my brother, sister, and I began singing country and gospel locally. Eventually, we enlisted new members and became a seven-piece country band. Three years later, our band was the warm-up band for popular country acts. We performed with Mel Tillis, Janie Fricke, The Bellamy Brothers, and many others. If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? I realize this is not the most exotic place in the world, but because I love country music, I would enjoy spending another week in Nashville. There is so much to see and do.
